Stylish and elegant in gingham and plaids

Exquisite and stylish. Just the way you are.

Gingham and Plaids are one of the most stylish, timeless wear.

Gingham

is considered to be a summer-style classic pattern.

As the name suggests, Gingham, also called Vichy check, is a duotone-checked pattern made from cotton or cotton blend material.

Although the colours could vary, the most usual colour combination is red, blue or black woven with the white colour combination. All of the checkers are square and the same in width.

We love wearing this pattern for day skirts, dresses and tops.

Buffalo prints are similar to gingham patterns but larger than Gingham.

They are different from Gingham. The colours could also vary, but black and white are the most wearable.

Although it looks very similar to the Gingham and buffalo, the plaids are considered winter print.

Plaids have been around for centuries. They are widely used in Scotland to indicate clans and families. Most often, this design is called tartan. Generally, it consisted of crossed horizontal and vertical lines, creating a grid.

Why dressing in tweed is a fashionable choice?

Here are our top tips on how to incorporate gingham and plaids into your style:

1. Above all, a blazer is the most stylish wear if you want to incorporate those patterns in your fall wardrobe.

If you want the colours in your plaid to be appreciated, pair them with neutral tops and bottoms and use the blazer as a top layering item. We prefer to put on neutrals colour shoes as well and let the beautiful plaid stand out.

2. Choose the bottom that contains one of the colours in your plaid blazer.

In that way, you will achieve a very coordinated look.

3. We would pair it with leather or suede leggings, boots, or skinny flare denim.

4. In addition, you could wear it over a slip-skin dress.

5. As a suit with a matching plaid knit skirt.

You could wear your plaid skirt separately in a beautiful assemble when coupled with a neutral blouse and blazer instead.

6. One of our favourite incorporation of plaids in daily life is also in the form of accessories.
Occasionally we combine a famous Burberry fashion-checked style pattern scarf for added luxury.

Fashion keeps changing, but some prints stick around, bringing that timeless charm. Gingham, buffalo, and plaids are the real VIPs, giving off that classy, elegant vibe that never gets old.

Gingham is all about those tidy checks, telling stories of picnics and easy-breezy vibes. Buffalo plaid is bold and stands out, bringing a touch of rugged coolness with a bit of country flair. And then there’s classic plaids, weaving tales of tradition and forever style with their cool patterns.

Mixing these prints isn’t just about style; it’s making a statement. Throw on some gingham, buffalo, or plaid, and see the classic charm do its thing. No need to follow trends – your style speaks for itself!

THE EXPERT TIP:

Why tweed is associated with checked patterns, but not all checked patterns are tweed?

Today’s Style Game: Nowadays, checks aren’t stuck with tweed. They’re on all sorts of fabrics, making fashion more fun and flexible.
